8.5 x 11 Catalogs
- Larger sized catalogs with normally bigger images
- Home décor, architects, interior designers use these
- Product codes, names, prices printed.
Larger catalogs i.e. the 8.5 x 11 Catalogs are normally used when larger images are used to showcase products. Very well known examples are those of home décor companies who have been using catalogs to advertise their latest products to customers. Others are those of famous fashion houses which have multiple beauty products. Lifestyle magazines also need 8.5x11 catalog printing since their products are normally put in images together so a model’s wristwatch, handbag, hat, shoes, dress, and bracelets should all be clearly seen. These catalogs not only advertise new products but because of their brand image, those products are the ‘in’ things in the market. Where mostly advertised products of a company are the expensive ones, catalogs contain all price ranges.
Short descriptions are included as texts for the pictures giving the price, major materials used (wood, wrought iron, plastic, porcelain, lawn, cotton, wood etc.). There could be larger images on top with smaller ones at the bottom highlighting individual products. A garden image at the top with different implements at the bottom is a good example.
At times instead of descriptions only prices or product codes are written on images. A helpline is given where the customers can call and customize the designs i.e. that they can add variations to the original designs – change colors, quantity and dimensions etc.
